The last 2 comps were the merseyside county champs
which Ben won with 59.91
Also the inter-county championships - prob the best comp he has
had all year throwing an amazing 61.72 and came 8th this is only 18cm
of my lifetime best

2nd competition Hey guys
just a quick update 2nd comp of the year threw 58.91 in liverpool, weather was, well lets say i could have jumped in a swimming pool and come out drier :)

threw 59.04 today, consistent but conditions not ideal raining once again:)

My name is Ben Fisher and I live in Newton-le-Willows
I am a plasterer by trade, but in my spare time I throw javelins.
My current club is Liverpool Harriers but I started my throwing career
with St Helens-Sutton Athletic Club
I have represented Merseyside and the North of England,
winning many competitions along the way.
My current Personal Best is 61.90 which I achieved in
and I finished the season 3rd in UK Under 23’s rankings.
My competitions take me all over the country, one weekend last year competing in
I train 5 days a week either at the Gym or at the Athletics Track
My goals for 2008
finish in the top 20 in seniors mens
to increase my P.B. hopefully to throw 70 metres
to stay injury free
